With the 22A Eloqua Release, the Audience Split feature is now available in the Campaign Canvas. This new decision step allows you to split leads in your campaigns by percentages and routes them down a Yes or No path.

CONFIGURATION

First, you should create a new multi-step campaign or you can edit an existing one. After you add Audience Split, simply drag it onto your campaign canvas.

  1. Type a new name into the Step Name field.
  2. Using the slider, determine the percentage to be branched to Yes and No paths.

USE CASES

The main use cases for the Audience Split include:

·        IP Warming or any campaign where you want to split a larger audience over a number of days

·        Testing different email creatives or workflows (A/B testing)

·        Staggering the flow of contacts through the campaign

Start using this new functionality today to better segment your audiences with more consistent messaging via automated campaign orchestration. Discover more!

I'm so excited this feature has been added! This is great for our team doing A/B testing.

Question: Can you let me know if this has rolled out to all instances as we are still not seeing this in our instance.

Great feature. But I can't find any information if this is a random split.

If not, I would rather stay with the old workaround by filtering for last ID digit.
If yes, it would be great to understand how the randomization is implemented.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Hi there… Question: in the manual there is absolutely no indication if the Audience Split is splitting data randomly or sequential…
    1. could you please clarify this and
    2. it might be an extremely good and important idea to put this info right to the point where this element is described in the manual.

    Thanks in advance
