newly assigned subscription not working

Hello,

I am not able to use a new subscription (yearly commitment of some amount of money) in my already existing OCI tenant. The tenant was created as part of a proof of concept with a promotion subscription. After the end of the promotion subscription the tenant was used as like in an always free scenario. Now I got the new subscription linked to the tenant (shown in Billing/Cost Management → Subscriptions) but if I click on the upgrade links I get the error message "Your account is not Pay as you Go, hence not supported on this page.
