How to enable audit on DFFs at Customer Organization

Summary:

Generally, when you are enabling audit for an object, while selecting attributes, you get a checkbox to select Flexfield attributes. But this is not enabled for Customer Organization. We have multiple DFFs are Customer level and want to enable audit but not able to find any way to do that.
