Application task present in Journey is still accessible post marking the task as 'done'

Summary:
Hi Team,
We have an onboarding journey, where we have provided application task for personal details. Now once this journey is assigned and employee mark this task as completed, still they are able to update the provided details by clicking on the application task link.
This issue is creating a problem, as its getting difficult to understand what all changes were made post marking the task as 'done'
