Guidance Required on Sending Custom Email and FYI Notifications for Onboarding Journey Trigger

Hello Team,
We have an onboarding Journey Template configured. Whenever this journey is triggered, we need to:
- Send a custom email notification to the Performer.
- Update the FYI Fusion notification text with customized content.
To meet this requirement, I attempted the following:
- Configured a new alert template in Alert Composer
- Associated the template under the “Journey Assigned” alert
However, the notification is not being triggered as expected.
Could someone please help by:
- Explaining the different possible approaches to achieve this requirement
