Journey Task Reminder Clarification

Summary: We are currently using the journey redwood page and we have a requirement to send reminder notification to the task performer starting from 7 days before the due date. While exploring the setup, we are stuck with the Times to remind field. What exactly is the functionality of the Times to Remind field?

For example, as per the image below, will the reminder notification get sent 7 days prior to due date, but the Times to Remind is set as 3, so does that mean there notifications are sent on the same day? or it's spread across the 7 days?

Our requirement is to send a reminder notification every day starting from the 7 days till the due date.
