VM.Standard.A1.Flex in ap-mumbai-1 stuck at ~50 Mbps public internet despite 4 Gbps advertised
Hello,
I am seeing an apparent public internet throughput cap on my OCI compute instance and would appreciate help confirming whether this is an OCI-side limit or issue.
Instance details
- Region: ap-mumbai-1
- Shape: VM.Standard.A1.Flex
- Shape config: 4 OCPUs, 24 GB RAM
- Advertised networking in OCI: 4.0 Gbps
- State: RUNNING
Observed behavior - Public internet throughput from inside the VM is consistently around 44-50 Mbps
speedtest --simpleon the VM reports:- Ping: 2.216 ms
- Download: 50.12 Mbit/s
- Upload: 50.71 Mbit/s
fast.comin a remote browser initially bursts higher and then settles near 50 Mbps- Multiple parallel downloads also remain around ~45-50 Mbps aggregate
