New hire is not appearing in the benefits activity center

Hello Experts,

We are seeking clarification on the Redwood ingestion behavior and the usage of the ESS job “Create Index Definition and Perform Initial Ingest to OSCS”, to ensure alignment with Oracle best practices before proceeding further in the PROD environment.

Issue observed:
A newly hired employee was not appearing in the Benefits Activity Center search in Redwood. Due to this, the Benefits Administrator was unable to update the employee’s benefits balance and launch the New Hire Life Event.

Running the ESS job “Create Index Definition and Perform Initial Ingest to OSCS” resolved the issue, after which the employee became searchable and the benefits activities could be completed successfully.
