How to handle Intervening LE during OE without backout

Summary: we have 30K employees in the US enrolling during Open Enrollment. Currently we hide the "Report a Life Event" for 3 weeks during the OE period and Administration manages it manually. Considering the high volume in the recent OE, the client wanted to check if there is a way to handle intervening LE without back out of OE through configurations.

does anyone handled similar situations please advise us. Thank you..
