Benefits Waiting Period Formula Coverage Start Date Issue
Requirement:
- Employee hired within last 10days of the month, Benefits to start first of next month after skipping immediate month.
- Employee hired before last 10days of the month, Benefits to start first of next month.
- Employee becomes Newly Benefits Eligible within last 10days of the month, Benefits to start first of next month after skipping immediate month.
- Employee becomes Newly Benefits Eligible before last 10days of the month, Benefits to start first of next month.
We are using Benefit Seniority Date in the Fast Formula, as of that Seniority Date the formula would calculate the waiting period.
Issue: The Waiting Period is calculating correctly for most benefit plans. However, certain plans can only be enrolled by an Admin (not the employee). When a Benefits Admin Life Event is processed to add these plans, the Benefits Effective Date is not coming through correctly for those specific plans.
