Email HTML Open Tracking Pixels

Oracle is aware of the recent guidance issued by the French CNIL and Italian Garante regarding email tracking pixels and is evaluating and enhancing relevant Responsys functionality to help customers address applicable tracking consent requirements. Customers remain responsible for determining the applicability of those requirements to their use of the services and for obtaining and maintaining any required consent.

Oracle is working to enhance Responsys functionality to help customers honor recipients’ email tracking consent preferences. Planned functionality includes attributes for recording recipients’ tracking consent states and account level controls designed to determine whether email open tracking is applied based on those preferences. Where configured, the functionality is also intended to prevent non-consented open signals from being used for related downstream processing. Additional enhancements are planned for click and conversion tracking, and further information will be provided through the applicable Responsys release resources as it becomes available.
