Always Free A1 disabled in Chuncheon: zero limits, boot backup available. Data recovery?

Hello Oracle team and community,

I have an Always Free-only tenancy in South Korea North (Chuncheon), ap-chuncheon-1, which is my home region. I have not upgraded to Pay As You Go.

My Ampere A1 instance was configured with 4 OCPUs and 24 GB RAM. It is now stopped and administratively disabled. Instance actions report that it is disabled and that I must contact customer support to re-enable it. I want to preserve the data and comply with the new 2 OCPU / 12 GB limit.

The Compute limits page for ap-chuncheon-1 shows:

  • standard-a1-core-regional-count: Service Limit 0, Usage 4, Available -4.
  • standard-a1-memory-regional-count: Service Limit 0, Usage 24, Available -24.
