Will a scheduled Journey be assigned again if already triggered manually?

I would like to understand how Oracle journey behaves when a journey is manually assigned before its scheduled trigger date.

If HR manually assigned a journey to employee before the journey is scheduled to be assigned, will system do a check that the employee already has the journey assigned and prevent it from being assigned again when the scheduled trigger date is reached?

Is there a possibility that the system will assign the same journey again, resulting in duplicate of journey assignments? Is there any configuration or setting that can prevent the same journey from being assigned twice?
