Dispute Functionality to stop the workflow after approval

Hi,
We are working towards to integrate Sales force to Oracle disputes where the requirement is to bring all the disputes in in Oracle and defaulted to approved as collectors needs visibility to exclude those disputed transactions from dunning letters and customer statement.
even though disputes are approved not necessarily these will create the Credit memo as those deputes needs to be settled from the original upstream module i.e. OM/SMC and hence need to close the disputes even after approval in Oracle.
Can you pls confirm if its possible to close the disputes status in Oracle without doing anything even after disputes is approved and credit memo not generated. we want status to be closed in disputes.
