TCC - extract req or candidate date using recruiter department (user datae0

We are trying to extract some candidate and requisition date (two different files) using the recruiter department as a filter.  For example we want to extract req date when the recruiter department = A.  We can identify all the recruiters associated with recruiter department A, but when we apply the same filter to requisition data or candidate data, we get no results and we know that there are reqs that meet the criteria.  Is there a "connection" we are overlooking?  Or do we have to go the route of UDF?

Thanks!
