offer letter email notifications

custom notifications to the recruiter and candidate when the offer is due 7 days, 3 days and on the day of expiration

oracle does not have offer letter email notifications to notify the recruiter or candidate the offer letter is expiring.  anyone else have creative suggestions on how you've combated this other than waiting for an enhancement?  one of our departments currently uses a software that has this capability but we are having to migrate them to taleo so i'm hoping we could give them the same functionality.
