Streamline performance process

Is it possible to make the process more linear or on rails?

Hello everyone,

My company has finished its first performance review cycle and I have gotten the following feedback. Users stated the flow of the performance process did not feel linear as the boxes were on the left side opposed to an on rails system where it jumps from dot to dot and makes you click go to next page. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this user experience issues and if so how have you combated it? What did you change how and why. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks
