Performance based Bonus implementation

We have Goals (performance & org), Performance & Compensation all implemented globally. We are looking for resources (contacts or documentation) to guide us on the best practices around implementing performance based ‘bonus plans’. We would like a subset of our employees to be able to enter specific weighted goals and subsequently completion %’s/results, and then perform some formulaic calculations on this data to determine bonus payouts. Curious if folks use Goals and then perform the calculations in Performance, and/or Compensation, or via any other configuration options. Any advice to point us in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
