Has anyone been through an overhaul of their performance management process and would like to share grows and glows or any helpful feedback?

My team is wanting to change the terminology, removing overall ratings, add quarterly conversations, and incorporate a frequency rating scale for some questions among other things. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
