Reversing a "Bypassed" Performance Document

We have recently gone live with Performance Reviews, but we have encountered an issue: unfortunately, some of our Managers have accidentally bypassed the Employee self-evaluation stage of the Performance Reviews, meaning employees cannot comment or amend their reviews.
Is there any way to reverse this process for the employees in question? We just want to revert the Performance Review document to it's "un-bypassed" state.
