Purpose of Ignore Column

Hi All,

While creating an Import script and adding columns, we have an option of adding "ignore column?. Can someone explain the significance of this? I have client who has shared their existing scripts and i can see they have used "Add an Ignore Column" in the script and named the "Header" as "EligibleForRehire". They claim it marks that user an ineligible for rehire in Taleo. As far as i know there is no such field in Taleo.

Referred TCC User Guide and the definition for Ignore Column is "An ignore column is never processed. It is used when the customer system generates a column that has no equivalent in the Taleo product."

Howdy, Stranger!
