Catalogs - Does anyone have suggestions/best practices for setting up catalogs.


Does anyone have best practices / suggestions for setting up catalogs to allow supervisors to assign ILT's?

It appears the search widget for the catalog must be set to display Enrollments or Learning plans as there is no option for the search widget to display ILT tracks. If the widget is set to display ILT Sessions, there is no option for the supervisor to assign the session... or is there?

There is a fundamental issue with restricting supervisors to assigning enrollments for ILT's. In many cases, a supervisor does not care which session an employee attends, as long as they attend. Since is no option to assign an ILT track, the only alternative we see is to use learning plans for tracks. From learning plans, it appears to be tricky, if possible for the user to pick an enrollment... at the minimum there are multiple clicks involved... not an optimal end-user experience.
