BUI - custom report for archived incidents

Because the BUI does not allow for Archived Incidents object, need custom report


Has anyone come up with a solution to view the threads of an archived incident in the BUI?  The Archived Incidents object can't be viewed in the BUI but I have an agent group that uses BUI and sometimes needs access to archived incident data.  In a custom report I can view the data about the incident subject, date created and closed, and even the email address of the contact through a join of the archived_incidents table to the contacts table.  But when I add the thread note field joining the threads table through the contacts table because that's the
