Participant needs to switch Coverage Level after Dependent ages out from the Reevaluate Designee Eli

edited Sep 5, 2020 12:10AM in Benefits 3 comments

Summary

Reevaluate Designee Eligibility is ending coverage date for dependent, but does not allow particpant to enroll in a new option to change coverage level. Please see example in content section.

Content

After running the Reevaluate Designee Eligibility process, the - coverage for dependent(s) is end dating correctly. That said, there are certain situations where if a participants dependent(s) ages out they will need to select a different option because they are no longer eligible for their current enrollment.

Example:

On 1/1/2018- Participant is enrolled in the Option->  Employee + 1 Dependent

On 6/1/2018- Participants dependent turns 26 and is no longer eligible so the dependents coverage is end dated on 6/30/2018 after running the Reevaluate Designee Eligibility process.
