How to make Claim available on approval task

Requisition workflow approval tasks do not have the option to Claim

Our requisition workflow configuration utilizes Header Stage, Header First Responder Wins Participant and Parallel/First Responder Wins Routing & Header Post Approval Stage, First Responder Wins. The approvers in the approval groups do not have the option to 'Claim' when an approval task is assigned to the group. Invoice workflow allows users in the First Responder wins routing to Claim. In our configuration, we have the Auto Claim enabled, however I read that does not pertain to approval groups. Is there a piece of configuration we are missing to allow approvers in approval groups to Claim the approval task?
