Prior to last week creating sponsors was a two step process  My first step was to upload the customer using the Upload Customers from Spreadsheet process.  Once the customer had been created my second step was to go to the "Manage Sponsors" page within Set Up and Maintenance and add the newly created customer as a sponsor.

Starting last week I no longer have to do the second step.  It looks like the Upload Customer process automatically adds the sponsor.  I am not aware of any updates to our system.  Has anyone else experienced this?
