Can we perform the demand planning of substitute items based on the history of item which had been used earlier

Hi,

We are implementing PDH for our client and while discussing the requirements of the substitute items, the client has one query regarding Supply chain planning as it will get implemented after PDH go live.

Can we check the history of items after renaming (updating the item number) or using the substitute in the demand planning module?
