Report linking not working

I tried to link to reports but for some reason, the linked report is not showing any data

Hello,

I have been trying to link two reports in vain. I have developed a parent summary report and another report to be linked to the parent summary report.

Using report linking on the requests count field, I have assigned 3 filter values for the linked report by passing one parent column value (category hierarchy field) and two parent variables (from and to dates).

Unfortunately, the linked report is not showing any data; it displays "There are no items to show in this view." I have triple checked that the report link has been setup correctly but I may be missing something.
