Action with JSON code to endpoint for external consumption

Hello everybody,

 

I have a new requirement were I need to figure out how to create an Action (function code) from an Opportunity to include Opty field values--to gather this data and bring it to an endpoint for consumption to an eventual external app/system. I've never done this before and I don't have much experience using webservices. I have however worked with Postman working with endpoints to bring data INTO CX Sales but not the other way around--out of CX Sales. Any help to documentation or ideas or some kind of direction would be greatly appreciated.
