Reduce number of review periods showing for worker and manager

We are using responsive UI for performance management. And as per the designed we need to select the relevant review period when navigate to the Me> Career & performance and the My Team> Performance Overview.

How can we reduce the number of review periods showing in the bar? Because when navigate to those pages its showing a list and end users are getting confused with find the relevant review period.  Is there a way to reduce this number?
