Return a default record rather than "no records found"

Hi,

I have a Contact Quick Search report that if 0 rows are returned I would actually like it to default to a specific contact ID instead. I think that this could be achieved using Custom Scipts but I just can't get it to work.

Is this something anyone has previously done?

Ideally I would like the ability to add a button or control to a report that allows me to launch a workspace/workflow if 0 records found but I'm not sure if that will happen.
