How to Update Candidate Contact information in test environments

Hoping to get some ideas for solutions for our test environments following a clone of our production environment to our testing environments

Curious if any other customers have identified solutions for the following scenario:

Following the copy of production environment to our test environment the candidate contact information is copied down, and this is all real data - which means real emails, and real phone numbers - therefore while in the test environment it is our current process to be incredibly mindful of the test data we use. However, to anticipate the truth defined by Murphy's law - we would like to make efforts where ever possible to prevent any testing actions taken in our test environments from notifying real candidates by mistake.
