Webdings font does not render correctly when a report is embedded in PPT or when viewed in PDF - Has anybody encountered this?

Hello,

I have used the webdings font to create a circular indicator ( "n" )  which renders fine when viewing my reports in HTML. When I embed the grid which contains the webdings to a PPT doclet the font is not found/rendered correctly. (See attached image)

I have also found that when viewing my report in PDF rather than HTML the same issue occurs. 

Has anybody encountered this before and know of a way to fix this? Or perhaps a workaround which could replace the use of Webdings so that the embedded content will display correctly in my doclet?
