Performance Process Goal Modifications between Set Goals and Manager Evaluation Process
Summary
Needs recommendations- Performance Process Goal Modifications between Set Goals and Manager Evaluation ProcessContent
Hi All-
The first couple of steps in our Performance process are the following. (This is all built within our performance template so it is all part of the performance document.)
1a. Set Goals (Employee enters goals, competencies, development goals)
1b. Set Goals(Manager reviews employee goals, competencies, development goals >submits)
2. Employee Self-Evaluation
3. Manager Evaluation of Employees
The concern that has been raised is that between the set goals being completed and manager evaluation of employees that, the employee can still go in and modify their goals. If an employee goes into modify their goals after the Set Goals step has been fully completed then there is no notification that goes to the manager indicating that a goal was updated, added or removed. So the concern is that a manger may not realize that an employee has changed their agreed upon goals without the manger realizing and they will continue with the Manager Evaluation of goals.
