What is the formula type that can be used in coverage calculation

I am trying to create a FF that calculates coverage on the basis of salary and other rules. I created a FF with the formula type of Rate Value Calculation. However, it is not showing up in the coverage definition. I feel I am not using the correct formula type. Any suggestions, please?
