Payables Invoices through FBDI - Not able to update distribution DFF attributes

After creating payables invoices through FBDI approach, not able to update distribution level dff attributes.

I have tried using both soap (ErpObjectDFFUpdateService - updateDffEntityDetails) and rest api.

Once invoice is opened from cloud applications and navigate to distributions, Now if tried using soap or rest is working.

It is not possible to open each invoice from applications and close. Is there any workaround for this so that we can update dff programmatically.

Please provide suggestions
