Unable to create records using multiple layouts for multi-level Business Objects feature in OVB add-

We have a multi-level business object in an Oracle ERP Cloud ("Fusion") application that we are trying to interact with via REST API in the OVB add-in for Excel.

We have followed the example in the docs here:-

And we are able to create linked layouts that download and process updates for out multi-level business object (a Financial Project Plan in the Oracle Project Management Cloud application).

However, when it comes to creating new records, we are hitting an error and wondered if anyone else has experienced similar / can spot what the issue is? I've attached full details in a PDF.
