Unable to pull up Performance Review for terminated employees

I am trying to pull a performance review for a terminated employee. When I go into the performance documents screen and search for the employee, he does not appear. If I reverse the termination in our TEST environment, he immediately appears and I am able to pull his performance reviews. Is this intended functionality or is there a way to pull reviews for employees still in a terminated status?
