Access Groups make it easier for application administrators to provide user access to segmented business data such as Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and Custom Objects. Access Groups are a significant improvement to the use of custom Data Security Policies and are fully compatible with Workspace search to deliver a consistent and faster user experience.
