Unable to receive candidate responses to "Send Message" from application

System is not receiving/adding in the candidates response to a message/email sent.

One of our recruiters tested this with a candidate on the phone, sending a "Send Message" from OR, then the candidate attempting to respond to the email that was sent. 

The response was never received. We have had this functionality working prior, it appears it is no longer working. I wanted to check here first prior to creating an SR on this, in case anyone else has experienced this.
