Candidate Email Templates - Pulling French Version of Merged Fields

We have a number of candidate email templates, in both English and French.  When we send emails to french-speaking candidates, is there any way for the system to pull the French version of the merged field?  For example, we pull in the Requisition "Title" into the template, however, in the email to the candidate, it pulls the English version of that field.  Even if the recruiter changes her user language to French, it still pulls in the English version of the merged field.
