Disqualified Candidate

I have disqualifying pre-screening questions set up for a requisition. I have a candidate that was disqualified because they answered 'yes' to one of those questions. The question worked fine. However, after speaking with the candidate, they are actually are still eligible to move forward in the process. I returned them to the prior state (new, application received), but it still shows the DQ flag. Will this effect the candidate moving forward in the process/system? And if yes, can I change the candidates to disposition to not disqualified?
