Does performance document automatically go into canceled status when employee is transferred or term

Hi all,

I'm curious about what happens to the performance document if the employee is transferred or terminated. I believe I saw that the performance module is now using HCM Events to automatically transfer performance documents to the new manager. If this isn't the case, does the document go into a canceled status? 

Similarly, is the document automatically canceled if the employee is terminated?
