How To Investigate A Lead That Is Being Retired

Hi,
We have leads being set to Retired by an integration user. I want to investigate how these leads are set i.e. by webservices, by scripts. etc. Is there a way I can activate a log that I can see for myself? I know how to setup the logs for which Oracle Support can see but I want to conduct an initial analysis first.
