Is there a way to disable add only for 'expired' performance anytime templates?

Summary:

We create new anytime templates each year. Is there a way to disable 'add' anytime document for the prior review period only but keep 'add' for current review period related to the anytime performance template? Updating eligibility profile to exclude for the older anytime document period and that didn't disable the add button as expected (if they had created a previous anytime document).
