Duration of a SR sub-status

Summary: Display the total duration per the various sub-statuses of a SR

Content: I have a created a custom field (Fixed Choice List) to track the sub-statuses of a SR (while it is in progress) I would like to have a report that states per SR, the total duration (the SR can be in the same sub-status more than once) that the SR was in each sub-status.

How would I go about creating a report to display this information?
