How to remove goal from a performance document?

Manager had approved goal in the beginning of the year which shows up on employee's performance evaluation under Evaluation Topics>goals but employee changed the job during the year and that goal is no longer applicable. I remember seeing "Remove from document" option in past and I see it now but it's grayed out. My understanding is that an approved goal cannot be deleted but it can be removed from being evaluated by using this feature. Can someone please advise on this at your earliest possibility? Appreciate your responses!
