Item Structure type for Installed Base Hierarchy

I want to know the standard functionality behind the Installed Base Asset Hierarchy for "Model" Structure Item Type. I have tested the Structure Item Type : Standard can be created in Installed Base and asset hierarchy as per the structure design based on the Enable Asset Tracking Attribute.

For Model, Option class, Planning and product family what is the standard functionality to see installed Base asset structure.

When I tested the Model structure this is not creating Installed base as expected. Is this is because the Structure Type Model meaning this is not a finished product and a configured item at the Order level?
