How to Filter on a date_group to linked report

i have built a report summary based on date_group(incidents.created, 'YYYX-WWW') and counting incident id

I now want to add a report to list the detail for that date range but i cant see how to go about it. I have found the cookbook resurces but although on one video the presenter says there is a trick to using date_groups this way i can find where in the list of videos he actually goes into it. Please can someone advise ?
