Can performance document start dates populate based on hire date?

Summary:

Is there a way to automate allocation of performance documents where the start date of the performance document is the employee's hire date?

Content (required):

Client is using Performance Management and Goal Management to evaluate and monitor probation periods. As probation will start on an employee's hire date, the probation start and end dates would be different per employee.

We have currently enabled an open review period spanning a 40 year period, and corresponding performance document also spanning a 40 year period. The result of this is that for every new starter, HR need to access the performance document and manually input probation start and end dates.

Howdy, Stranger!
